when stunts get cut

over the summer, i styled a fashion advertorial for vibe prodigy magazine via the project 2050 agency. i keke off of putting things together that you wouldn't normally think of, but look super cute. depending on the angle of the shot selected for the layout, you fail to see the little details that will turn an outfit out.

the concept of the shoot was for the kids to jump on this huge trampoline & catch them in motion.

the younger kids got cut because they were scared to jump on the trampoline. which was a bummer because their outfits were so cute!

these were some of the finals from the shoot...

so bummed that little talen's remixed mini new era hat got cut out.

but i will continue the stunts onto the next gig.

besties, shoes & waffles

on saturday i had a hair appointment with one of my favs, hector miranda at paul labrecque in the upper east side at 12:30. at the same time, bff moni had her hair appt at 12:30 down on 9th ave. we agreed to meet up for brunch at klee. to our surprises, we looked like wonder twins, pretty much having the same outfit on. we got a huge laugh out of it.

while shopping in the meatpacking district, one of my favorite designers in the whole wide world, moschino, was having a 60% off sale in their boutique and i bought the most amazing royal blue satin pumps ever!!! can't wait to wear them...

one of my other purchases was maple pecan waffle & pancake mix from williams-sonoma. so i decided to treat the bf to sunday breakfast and made hello kitty shaped waffles from my waffle maker. its been a minute since i made them but they came out perfect :)

liposuction in a bottle? by rodial

Champers and salty apps do not a flat tummy make during the month of December. Thank heavens for the Tummy Tuck, and Beauty Junkie means one by Rodial not your fancy UES plastic surgeon. This gel is packed with neuro-peptides that boost cell metabolism in much the same way as actual exercise and microfibers tighten up those same cells too. Plus, thanks to the folks over in R&D, your abdominal area can be reduced by a whole inch in just eight weeks. THE DETAILS: $145, www.beauty.com, space NK, and Henri Bendel

louis vuitton damier neverfull

i was very excited to see this new louis vuitton damier neverfull tote bag. i've been searching for a new bag for a while (such a shame) and while i looove my royal blue goyard tote bag, i've been discouraged by the small holes developing on the bottom corners of the bag.

this bag is a great size and perfect for everyday running around. for $700 you can't beat it!

louis vuitton x stephen sprouse- round two

If all goes as planned, January will be Stephen Sprouse month as the art, publishing and luxury worlds combine to pay tribute to the late designer. While lasting commercial success sadly eluded Sprouse, he has become an admired cult figure among the fashion crowd and especially with collectors who covet his increasingly rare original pieces.Deitch Projects will open a Sprouse retrospective called "Rock On Mars" on Jan. 8 at its Wooster Street gallery and Rizzoli will publish "The Stephen Sprouse Book" shortly thereafter. Joining in the fun, and likely to garner the most attention, Louis Vuitton will be revisiting its 2001 collaboration with the designer with new versions of the graffiti monogram he designed as well as a signature day-glo rose motif that will adorn bags, shoes and a special capsule apparel collection that will all be available on January 9th.The special collection was suggested by the gallery, and Vuitton will not be reissuing the original collaboration pieces, but offering new variations in a similar vein. “I tried to take what Stephen had done at Vuitton and then kind of flip it in my head, and make it Vuitton’s work for Stephen, not Stephen’s work for Vuitton,” Vuitton creative director Marc Jacobs tells WWD. “I just felt it was a funny way to play with it, to pretend to be Sprouse for a bit, and use the work that he did, and then bring it back to the work that he did before I collaborated with him.” With Sprouse's heyday, the 1980's, an increasingly influential touchstone for the fashion world, a visit with the designer's colorful, rock-influenced aesthetic should be a welcome and timely distraction for our suddenly gloomy times. To further promote the event, Jacobs has been photographed by Terry Richardson for Harper's Bazaar in his favorite outfit- nothing, of course- strategically carrying a Sprouse/Vuitton duffel, keeping the image publishable in a major national magazine.Vuitton Brings Back Sprouse (WWD)
